"“Beautiful restaurant in Taormina, perched high above with stunning views of the sea and Mount Etna. Delicious Sicilian dishes, fresh flavors, and a perfect atmosphere to enjoy the sunset. Truly unforgettable.”"
"We ordered the chateaubriand with a couple of sides (grilled vegetables & potatoes). Felt all lacked seasoning. Sides were very small portions for €7 each. Luckily the wine we chose was fantastic. We enjoyed that. We also appreciated being upgraded to the terrace front row. Thank you for great service. The staff were pleasant and fun."
"We had the pleasure of returning to the Ristorante Granduca in Taormina, and once again, the experience was excellent in every way.The setting is beautiful, offering an elegant yet relaxed atmosphere, surrounded by greenery with wonderful sea views. It’s the perfect place for a romantic dinner or a special occasion with friends. The service was impeccable: staff were courteous, attentive, and professional from start to finish, always ready with helpful suggestions without ever being intrusive. The dishes were beautifully presented, combining Sicilian tradition with modern creativity. From starters to mains, everything was well-executed, using high-quality ingredients and refined pairings. The pasta was perfectly cooked, the fish prepared with great skill, the meat delicate and flavorful, and the desserts well-balanced and satisfying. This is clearly a kitchen that knows what it’s doing and delivers with consistency. In short, Granduca is a safe choice in Taormina: professionalism, quality, kindness, and a beautiful setting make it a restaurant we would confidently recommend."
"My wife and I went for lunch. We shared the prosciutto and melon and it very good. We then each had pasta and we were not disappointed although my gnocchi were a bit salty. Both deserts were very good. We did not have the pizza but it smelled good. The staff was overall ok but not overly friendly. The view was very nice. For lunch, I was satisfied although I cannot say it was the best restaurant I ever ate."
"Amazing restaurant with a stunning view, in the center of Taormina. You can book or come straight and get a table. If you’re able to have dinner early (kind of before 8 pm) it’s better, cause after 20:30 it’s full and you’ll have to wait. There’s a space restaurant and an other one pizza. The service is very nice, you’re welcomed with Prosecco while you’re visiting the menu."
"Amazing food and drinks - great service, would come back! The eggplant parmigiana was amazing they even split the pizza in half for us without asking because they knew we were sharing."
"Granduca in Taormina is one of those restaurants that instantly makes you feel like you’re in the heart of authentic Italian and Sicilian culture. From the moment we walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere stood out. The décor, the lighting, and the overall vibe create a very cozy environment that feels both welcoming and lively. If you’re lucky enough to get a seat on the balcony, the view is truly beautiful and adds an extra layer of charm to the whole dining experience. One of the things we loved most about Granduca is the strong Italian character of the place, especially with the traditional Italian pizza oven on display. It gives the restaurant a genuine, local touch and brings an element of tradition that you don’t find everywhere. It also sets the tone for the food quality, which did not disappoint. The menu offers a very good variety of classic Italian and Sicilian dishes, along with an excellent selection of drinks. We tried a couple of different pastas and pizzas, and everything we ordered was delicious. The flavours were well balanced, the ingredients tasted fresh, and the portions were satisfying without being overwhelming. It’s the kind of food that truly reflects the region’s culinary pride. Customer service was fair and generally pleasant, though there is room for improvement. Staff were polite and helpful, but service could be a bit more attentive considering how busy the restaurant gets. Overall, Granduca is a great choice in Taormina if you’re looking for excellent food, a warm atmosphere, and a wonderful Italian dining experience. We enjoyed our visit and would definitely return."
"Me and my fiance ate at this restaurant to round off the final day of our holiday to Sicily. To start I ordered mussels and my fiance ordered a lasagne-like dish. Both of which were a good start to the meal. For our mains we ordered the steak and also a swordfish dish. The swordfish was light and had a lot of flavour. The steak however was a bit of a let down. We ordered it medium rare and it came well done. We overheard another table making the same observation so maybe the chef always cooks the steak this way. The steak also came with some vegetables which didn’t pair well at all with the steak. It felt like the same vegetables from the swordfish dish were lifted and shifted onto the steak dish. For desert we had the profiteroles, which were solid. Overall, the experience was good. I wouldn’t consider this restaurant the best we went to in Sicily but it was the more expensive. I would recommend others come to the restaurant to experience a flavour of fine dining in Sicily."
